Design Solutions

The design team within ADA possess a wealth of experience in both concept and structural design of art and architectural metalwork, building and installing at sites worldwide.

Over the past few years the loading and deflection criteria for balustrading for public assembly areas have become much more onerous. Most contracts now require the specialist sub or trade contractors to accept full responsibility for the engineering design of balustrading within the codes of practice.

Unfortunately many balustrading designs, whilst meeting the aesthetic requirements of the scheme, fall short of the minimum loading requirements. With years of experience in both concept and structural design ADA are able and willing to be commissioned to take full responsibility for balustrade (and other architectural engineering) design from start of the design and planning process for major schemes to completion of installation.

ADA work closely with concept and executive architects, engineers, cost consultants and others to provide concept proposals, samples and prototypes. These are followed by the manufacture and installation of original, distinctive and value for money architectural engineering solutions

Manufacturing Solutions

ADA's workshops are fitted with modern plant machinery and can handle all projects, however large or small.

The workforce includes artist blacksmiths highly skilled in forging techniques, welders and fabricators qualified to the highest standards and workshop management sympathetic to all architectural needs.

Installation Solutions

The installation of architectural metalwork is considered at the start of the concept design process so that a total design solution can develop. For balustrading it is often efficient to have a first fix system for baseplates to suit the construction process followed by the final fix of factory finished and protected balustrading. During all installations ADA's strong project management team ensure close liaison with all other sub and trade contractors to achieve efficient and timely completion of works within the construction programme.
